After setting up your event in Counterpoint, you will need to do some configuration for the event online before you finally create it.

In this step we setup the different locations within our event, the times or tables available, and the number of tickets for the event.

Locations/Spaces

    • Navigate to Catalog → Event Tickets by Aheadworks → Spaces.
      • 19010437.png
    • You will be redirected to the Spaces page. This will show a list of your current spaces.
      • Spacesare the different locations for an event.
        • Examples of Spaces are different rooms or buildings that an activity can be in.
        •  If your event has multiple locations, you would want to setup a Space for each location.

          • For example, let's say you have an event that teaches classes in four rooms.
            • This would require 4 Spaces total, one space for each room.

          • Only Have One Location?

If your event does not have different locations, you will only need to create 1 space for the event.

Setting up Times and Tables

Within a room, you may have different times, tables, or other ways to group customers by. Here we will go over setting these up.

Sectors

  • Sectors are any groups with a limited size within a Space.
    • Examples of Sectors are limited seating per table or different times for an event.
    • If you have tables, times, or other ways to group customers, this is where you define them.
      • For example,
        • Table A, Table B, and Table C
        • 10:00, 10:30, 11:30
  • No Limited Sessions?

If your event does not have tables, times, or other ways to group customers, you will only need to setup one Sector.

      • Name
        • If you have different sections within your areas (i.e. tables, times, etc.), enter the name of the section (i.e. Table A, Table B, Table C, 10:00, 10:30, 11:30 etc.) in this field.
        • No Limited Sessions?

If your event does not have tables, times, or other ways to group customers, you can set Name to the name of the event.

      • SKU - This will automatically be set to Name. This does not need to be changed for CPCommerce.
      • Enable Sector - This should be enabled by default and can be left on.
      • Tickets Qty-This is the number of available tickets in the section.
        • This should correspond to the inventory set for this time or table in Counterpoint.
          • For example, let's say you have the item NATURERES10 for the 10:00 AM slot in Counterpoint and you set it to have 100 in stock.
          • If you are setting up the 10:00 AM slot, you would set Tickets Qty to 100.
        • If you have a general admission event, enter 99999999.
      • Title - This will automatically be set to Name.
      • Description (Optional) - This is a section to put additional information about the sector.
