  • Authorize and Capture
    • All of your existing orders have already captured payment from the customer.
    • Make sure that all your transactions are settled, then swap processors on your SecurePay account.
      • After you swap processors on the existing Securepay Account, the old credentials will become invalid, andall transactions that are not yet settled will be forfeit
    • Skip below to the Counterpoint and Magento sections to swap the accounts.
  • Authorize Only
    • If you're using Authorize only, you will need to finish processing all current orders before swapping.
    • This can be done in one of two ways:
      1. Solution 1: Create a 2nd store in Counterpoint and a 2nd SecurePay account with your new processor. Now you can use both sets of SecurePay credentials at once while transitioning, and deactivate the old account after the transition is complete.
        • Recommended For: This solution is better for stores with large volumes of orders, where it is difficult to finish processing all orders and settling all transactions before changing accounts. This allows you to process on 2 SecurePay accounts temporarily while transitioning, and is a more robust option.
        • The SecurePay credentials will need to be swapped inMagento. At the same time, the store inSetup> Ecommerce> Control> Main> Storewill need to be swapped to the Counterpoint store with the new SecurePay account.

        • The original store handling web orders in Counterpoint will need to process the old orders, while the new store handles all current orders.
      2. Solution 2: Finish processing all orders now, and swap the credentials in Counterpoint and Magento at the same time. This only requires 1 SecurePay account and 1 store in CP. If you are unsure of which method to use, use Solution 1.
        • Recommended For: Smaller stores or stores capable of setting all orders more conveniently. This solution takes less time, but must be done carefully to avoid losing orders.
        • First, finish processing all orders, then settle all transactions.
        • After you swap processors on the existing Securepay Account, the old credentials will become invalid, andall transactions that are not yet settled will be forfeit.
          • If you would like to optionally disable SecurePay on the website while the credentials are being processed, you can disable them from the "Enabled" setting in Magento.
        • Update the credentials in Counterpoint and Magento

Counterpoint
